Can I book a tipi?
Not this year! We are taking a (maternity) break from tipis and instead offering camping pitches (for your own tents & equipment). If you would prefer the glamping experience, we can recommend a wonderful bell tent hire company.
What is the booking process?
You can book via our website or by contacting us. A 25% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before your stay. We will then send over our booking questionnaire, for you to tell us your group type, number of tents etc. so that we can allocate you a suitable pitch.
What time is check-in/out?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. We will require notice of your ETA beforehand. Earlier check-ins and later check-outs may be possible with prior arrangement.
What should we pack?
Whilst we are taking a break from tipis, you will need to bring everything required for a camping trip!
can we have a campfire?
Campfires are permitted but only within a firepit (strictly NO ground fires). Firepits can be hired from us for £50 which includes 1 bag of firewood, 1 bag of charcoal, flamers & matches.
do you sell firewood?
We sell bags of firewood & charcoal at £6/bag. You can pre-order before your stay or text/call during your stay. Please place orders in the morning.
Where do we wash up?
There is a washing up station with a large stainless steel sink. You will need to bring your own washing up supplies.
Can I take a hot shower?
Yes, there is a shower block onsite.
What is the toilet situation?
There is a toilet block onsite, cleaned at least once a day. We allocate cubicles to pitches.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs are welcome at £5 per dog, per stay.
Can we play music?
Guitars around the campfire are encouraged, but we have a no music/noise policy from 10pm onwards.
We're celebrating! Can we bring fireworks, confetti canons or confetti balloons?
Strictly, no!
Can we hire the entire site?
Yes! Please contact us to discuss. Should you require, we can recommend a professional catering service for large parties. Please note we are not a wedding (or events) venue.
Do you accept school / Duke of Edinburgh visits?
Yes! Please contact us to discuss prices & availability.
Can we swim in the river?
No. Our stretch of river is extremely fast flowing.
Is there Wi-Fi?
No, but signal is generally good!
Is there electricity?
We have phone charging lockers with USB ports available (£5 per locker for the duration of your stay).
Can I park my car next to my pitch?
No. We do not permit any vehicles in the field. The car park is a very short walking distance and we provide trollies to help with luggage.
can I bring my camper/caravan?
No.
What is the procedure for damages during our stay?
Guests will be charged for any damages caused to our site/ facilities. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more info.
